TRENTON, NJ: Trenton Police were in pursuit of a Toyota 4Runner Sunday night just after 9 p.m., reaching speeds up to 90 miles per hour.
The pursuit initiated in the area of South Clinton Avenue and Greenwood Avenue after an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle for traffic infraction. The pursuit continued to Route 1 to Spruce Street, where the vehicle went into Ewing Township. The chase continued to The College of New Jersey campus, where police lost sight of the vehicle.
The suspect vehicle was recovered after it wrecked in the area of Ewingville Road and Clement Avenue.
Officers from both Trenton Police Department and Ewing Police Department flooded the area in an attempt to locate the suspects. The suspects have not been located at the time of publish.
