Sheriff Jack Kemler announced the release of a newly updated mobile app for the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. The app’s newest release is a major upgrade from the original Sheriff’s App introduced in 2016. The Sheriff’s App was fully redesigned over the summer months to improve access to alerts, news, and resources for Mercer County residents and businesses.

The interactive app is designed to provide real-time information to the public on their smartphones or tablets. Information on the Mercer County Sheriff’s App includes news and emergency alerts, senior citizen program information, general services to the public, Sheriff’s sale information, crime tips, airport information, and the ever-popular Mercer’s Most Wanted list.

“The newly upgraded Sheriff’s App is easy-to-use and designed to better serve, inform, and protect county residents,” said Sheriff Kemler.

The Sheriff’s App also includes important resources on COVID-19 from the CDC, links to traffic information, program offerings, as well as a “Submit a Tip” feature that allows users to confidentially report crime tips directly to the Sheriff’s Office. Another key upgrade is the addition of an interactive map of Mercer County sex offenders. Users can simply pinpoint a neighborhood for the locations and the identities of offenders.

The app is available to anyone, free of charge in the Apple and Android app stores. For those who already have the app, the newest version conveniently updates on their phones or tablets automatically. The upgraded app was designed by Sheriff’s Office staff along with The Sheriffs App/OCV, which specializes in mobile app development for public safety departments.  To download the Mercer County Sheriff’s App click:
