Trenton, NJ ( Mercer) Trenton firefighters and mutual aid Fire Departments responded to the unit block of Race Street after getting a call for a house on fire just after 5 Am. Smoke could be seen coming from the attic in both houses, slick road conditions and freezing temperatures made it tough for firefighters. The fire was placed under control just after 5:45 Am. Both residents in the homes made it out safely without being injured. The Trenton Fire Marshal and the Trenton Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
