Ewing’s first black firefighter promoted to Captain

EWING, NJ (MERCER) Ewing Township swore in Kevin Wemple to Fire Captain. Wemple is the 1st Black Firefighter for Ewing Township and the 1st Black Fire Officer of the Department. Wemple was a volunteer firefighter with Pennington road Fire company before working for Ewing Fire department for a number of years. Pictured with Wemple is Director Grady Griffin on the left who also is the 1st Black Director of Trenton Emergency Medical Service and DeLorfette Clarke on the right First Black Captain and Chief of Trenton Emergency Medical Service and the 1st Black EMT, Chief, and Director of Ewing Township Emergency Medical Services.
