Trenton, NJ (Mercer) Trenton Police are investigating a shooting on the unit block of Laclede Ave between West State street Thursday evening. Trenton Emergency medical services transported the victim to Capital Health trauma center, unknown on the status of the victim.
Update: 10:12 PM: An altercation occurred when a group of teenagers came up the block of Laclede Ave and entered a house on the block. The group of teenagers was asked to leave when a fight ensued, eyewitnesses explain. After another resident on the block broke the fight up one of the teenagers pull out a gun and shot at Elijah Charles, 19, in the back. Charles is currently in surgery with critical injuries.
