Trenton (Mercer) NJ: Trenton Social hosted New Jersey’s largest LGBTQ+ organization, Garden State of Equality. The bar and dining were packed with advocates and LGBTQ+ Trentonians from five pm to late in the night.
The crowd brought guest speakers like Kadja Manuel, the LGBTQ+ Committee Chair of the Trenton Branch NAACP and Executive Assistant and Community Organizer with Garden State Equality, Mayor W. Reed Gusciora, our own Peterson’s North Ward District 5 Committeewoman Crystal Feliciano, Councilwoman Marge Caldwell-Wilson, and Arc of Mercer Director Steven Cook.
The Garden State equality invited multiple organizations to join them. These were organizations like One Simple Wish, The Arc of Mercer, Trenton Animals Rock, Hyasyth, and The City of Trenton. Garden State quality also had a partnership with Lyft paying up for 40$ needed by guests who need a ride.
As well the event hosted a COVID J&J vaccination sponsored by the city of Trenton. This is where our own Thomas Peterson got his long-awaited COVID-19 vaccine.
