Trenton, NJ ( Mercer) A Trenton Police detective was injured after being reportedly struck by a glass bottle after he & his partner rolled up to the Cure arena parking lot on Hamilton Ave and South Broad Street. City residents stated, “It was peace in the valley until they came through trying to insight a riot. Knocking people off of their bikes and tackling disabled people to the ground.” Another resident also stated, “We were hanging out having a good time; the cops came to break it up, which is fine, but then they saw the ATVs and knocked one guy off of it; after that, it became a melee of chaos.” Trenton Police arrested several people Sunday night. One video captured officers struggling to arrest a man on the ground. A ATV rider also stated “Literally no one done anything wrong beside being out on illegal bikes . They tackled one of the riders n locked him up and released him with 20 tickets . They didn’t even get his bike You can’t lock someone up or place them under arrest for that . U can confiscate n give tickets which is the proper way to do it . If they hadn’t tackled him they would have had his bike and been able to give him tickets but they were too busy wrestling lol . While they were doing that someone rode off with the bike .”

The injured officer bleeding from his head, was treated at a local hospital and released. Trenton Police has not responded to comment about the incident.
