Trenton, NJ (Mercer): Gun violence continues to surge in Trenton this week after two men were killed and two others were shot across the city.

The Trenton Police department and the Homicide tasks force team are investigating a shooting in the North Ward of Trenton just before 11:00 Am Friday that left a man in critical condition.

Neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots fired and then an unknown vehicle speed away.

The shooting occurred on East Paul Ave extending to Martin Luther King Boulevard, Kirkbride Ave, and a second crime scene on Phillips Ave and New York Ave. The victim, a 21-year-old Trenton male was reported to have sustained gunshot wounds to the neck and head and was transported to the trauma center where he remains in critical condition.
