Trenton, N.J. — On Saturday, the Trenton Police Department’s Shooting Response Team responded to and arrested suspects in three separate shooting incidents: 10:00 a.m. on Stuyvesant Avenue, 1:14 p.m. on Meade Street, and 1:30 p.m. on Oakland Street. All suspects were in custody by 4:30 p.m.

 

Here is a summary of the incidents, which are active investigations:

 

—> Oakland Street, 10:00 a.m. Police responded to reports of a female gunshot victim treated at Capital Health. Following witness descriptions and finding the weapon, police apprehended male suspect Kevion Watkins, age 19, who is currently in custody. 

 

—> Meade Street, 1:14 p.m. Police responded to reports of seven gunshots. Police apprehended theuncooperative male juvenile suspect, age 17, who received treatment for a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the foot. The investigation is ongoing.

 

—> Stuyvesant Avenue, 1:50 p.m. Gunfire involving two victims. Following police response, officers apprehended 18-year-old female suspect Kierra Harper. Police are looking into a second suspect, and the investigation is still ongoing.

 

At the time of issuance of this news release, the Shooting Response Team is investigating a shooting on Walnut Avenue.
