TRENTON, N.J. – Thursday , Robert Edward “Ed” Forchion, Jr., also known as the NJ Weedman, announces his endorsement of Crystal Feliciano in her candidacy for Trenton City Council At-Large in the November 2022 municipal election.

Ed Forchion is a free speech and cannabis rights activist and local business owner in Trenton. His popular restaurant, NJ Weedman’s Joint, is located on E. State Street, directly across from Trenton City Hall. In addition, Forchion recently opened a new hip-hop art and music lounge, The Joint of Miami, located in the Wynwood District. He is the founder of the Legalize Marijuana Party of New Jersey and Civil Rights Advocate, focusing on the adverse effects of the “war on drugs.”

“Crystal believes in the cannabis movement and realizes the economic benefits the industry can bring to the Capital City. She will be an effective bridge between the citizens and the administration, regardless of who leads it. More importantly, being an educator, I believe that Crystal will advocate for our youth, who are the most precious asset in Trenton. She will work to ensure that collaborative efforts are formed to help provide resources to aid in their civic growth and community development as responsible young men and women,” said Forchion.

Feliciano announced her candidacy for City Council At-Large in early November 2021, highlighting the need for sound development projects, initiatives to spur economic growth in Trenton, restorative justice, and safe outlets for the youth.

“Many thanks to NJ Weedman for his endorsement of my candidacy for City Council At-Large. I look forward to collaborating with him on future projects,” said Crystal Feliciano. “As the attitude towards cannabis changes in the world surrounding us, we must better educate ourselves on the cannabis industry and the social and economic benefits it can bring to the Capital City.” ###
