TRENTON, N.J. (PBN) Sunday, August 7, 2022, Trenton Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Chestnut Avenue on a Robbery in progress. The victim informed Policr Officers that while walking on Hewitt Street, nearing the intersection of Chestnut Avenue a male and female approached them armed with a knife. One of the suspects held the knife against the victim’s neck while relieving her of a cellular phone and purse. The suspects then fled in an unknown vehicle out of sight. Police Street Crimes Unit Detectives W. Deleon and C. Cason quickly responded to the area and were able to locate the suspects and vehicle fitting the description provided. The suspects, Daniela Villamar (24) and Jorge Solares (41) were positively identified and placed under arrest without incident according to Detective Lieutenant Bethesda Stokes.

 

Daniela Villamar and Jorge Solares were subsequently transported to Trenton Police Headquarters, where they were processed and charged with Armed Robbery and Weapons Offenses.
