Trenton, NJ (Mercer). Today, Trenton’s Old Mill Hill Society and the residents of Mill Hill held their 32nd Annual Garden Tour. The excitement was high on this bright and sunny day in the Capital City and the people were out and about strolling through the various streets in search of their favorite garden.

Many residents graciously opened their garden areas for tourists to visit, sit, take pictures, listen to music, admire art and more! “This is my fourth year coming to the garden tour,” said Councilwoman At -Large Jasi Edwards. I have my Dad and my sister with me today, it’s always so beautiful, I encourage everyone to come out and experience it.”

As the tour continued, more and more people joined in and although they were there to see the beautiful array of garden creations, the visitors stopped and spoke with friends, neighbors and even met people from out of town that came specifically for the tour.

“As Southward Councilwoman Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg and I made our way from home to home, we met a woman from Hunterdon County that came because she read about the tour in the Hunterdon County Hiking Group she belongs to,” said Councilwoman At -Large Crystal Feliciano. “It was really cool to meet her as well as others who came out to experience one of the many positive events in our city.”

“I love the garden tour,” said Southward Councilwoman Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg. “Meeting and greeting the people, having a great time and celebrating the good that takes place within the city is what it’s all about; we saw some really creative and beautiful displays!”

The garden tour has played a very important part in the restoration of Mill Hill, and funds raised by the tour go towards historic preservation grants for Mill Hill home and business owners.
