Stolen Vehicle flee Traffic Stop In Ewing Township

EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. (PBN) Ewing Police say they made a traffic stop on Olden Ave near Parkside Ave.

Friday evening, just before 6:00 Pm. Police Officials say At some point during the traffic stop, believed to be as the police officer exited his patrol vehicle, the stolen vehicle fled. The vehicle then traveled on Olden Avenue towards Prospect Street when all occupants fled from the moving vehicle—the stolen vehicle made minor contact with another vehicle and then a curb. No injuries were reported, and there was no pursuit of the vehicle. It is unknown how many occupants were in the vehicle. No arrests were made, Deputy Chief Jeffrey Jacobs said in a statement.

Trenton Men Charged With Attempted Homicide In October Shooting

TRENTON, N.J. (PBN) Trenton Police Detective Lieutenant Brian Jones announced Friday that on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Trenton Police communications received a shot spotter activation for twelve (12) rounds in the area of 30 Commerce Street. Upon officers’ arrival, several residences were struck, and casings were recovered. The Mercer County Shooting Response Team investigated this incident.  It was determined that Van Wells and Brioan Avery-Sanders were responsible for the incident. On Thursday, November 16th, 2023, Wells and Avery Sanders were arrested in Wood Street and charged.

Van Wells (36) faces charges of Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Weapons Offenses.

Brioan Avery-Sanders (28) also faces charges of Complicity/Criminal Attempt Homicide,

Aggravated Assault.
