Trenton, NJ ( PBN)- At approximately 5:39 p.m. Saturday , Trenton Police Communications received a call reporting a pedestrian struck at 110 Calhoun St. Officers arrived promptly to find a male in his 40s unresponsive at the scene.

The victim was swiftly transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he is currently listed in critical condition. The vehicle potentially involved in the incident was no longer present when authorities arrived.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the male’s injuries may not be consistent with those typically resulting from being struck by a vehicle. As such, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
