HAMILTON, N.J. (PBN) A Police officer responding to a domestic violence call Friday night was taken to the hospital after being shot, Mercer County prosecutor’s office confirmed. Officials said the shooting happened on the 1800 block of Orchard Avenue around 10 p.m. and one other person was also shot. The Hamilton Police officer suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach and was reported to be alert and conscious going into surgery. UPDATE 3/9/24: The officer with Hamilton Police Division is recovering after surgery. He is resting comfortably and has been up and talking today NJ State PBA stated in a Facebook post.
