First alarm fire in West Windsor

Princeton junction, NJ, (Mercer) Fire companies from West Windsor, Princeton around Mercer County responded to a first alarm fire on Millstone road. Firefighters reported a fire in the attic. The fire broke out just after 5:00 Pm and firefighters placed the fire under control shortly after 6:00 Pm there were no reports of injuries. The fire is under investigation.

Pennington Ave House Fire leaves six displaced

Trenton, NJ (Mercer) The Trenton Fire department and state fire marshal are investigating a fire on the 1100 block of Pennington Ave between Monroe Street Monday night. Trenton firefighters reported they arrived at the home to heavy fire coming from the 3rd floor. The fire was placed under control a short time later. The home is reported to have four apartments with six people displaced, and the American Red Cross is assisting those residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

House erupts in Flame On Jackson Street

Trenton (Mercer) NJ: Trenton Fire Department responded to a house fire on Jackson Street at approximately 9:50 PM. The call came in after the top bedroom of the townhouse caught on fire. Multiple fire trucks responded to the call leading them to successfully get the blaze under control within the hour. No one was injured during the emergency.

Firefighters battle 2 alarm Franklin Street House fire

Trenton, NJ ( Mercer) The Trenton Fire department responded to 1070 Franklin Street shortly after 1 Am. Firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions coming from the second floor of the home, firefighters were ordered to evacuate the house at one point. Neighbors stood around with each other wishing everyone out of the home safely. The fire was placed under control just before 2 Am.Unknown if anyone sustained injuries in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.


1 injured in Downtown Trenton Apartment fire

Trenton ( Mercer) A woman had to be transported Thursday night by Trenton Ems after she called 911 reporting she saw fire coming up her window on the second floor at her Hanover Street apartment. Trenton firefighters arrived on scene and had to pick up the elderly woman and moved her to a safe location giving the woman to Ems said Battalion Chief Dale. The fire started in the rear of the apartment where a storage area is. The is under investigation. The elderly woman was transported to Capital Health Medical center for smoke inhalation.

Trenton Fire Officials Investigating Second Early Morning House Fire

Trenton, NJ ( Mercer) Trenton firefighters and mutual aid Fire Departments responded to the unit block of Race Street after getting a call for a house on fire just after 5 Am. Smoke could be seen coming from the attic in both houses, slick road conditions and freezing temperatures made it tough for firefighters. The fire was placed under control just after 5:45 Am. Both residents in the homes made it out safely without being injured. The Trenton Fire Marshal and the Trenton Police are investigating the cause of the fire.

Hamilton Fire Departments quickly knock down bedroom fire

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP (MERCER): Hamilton Fire Departments responded to the 1800 block of Orchard Avenue this afternoon for reports of a bedroom fire. The fire department arrived on scene with fire coming from the second floor window and called the “all-hands.” Quick action of the fire fighters led to the fire being placed under control in minutes. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Pets rescued in Woodland St house fire

TRENTON: Trenton firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on the third floor in the 200 block of Woodland Street off of Liberty Street Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters arrived with heavy fire coming from the rear of the home. In the process of pulling hoses, a power line came down on a fire engine and hoes halting fire operations for a short time, but quickly resumed. All residents were out of the home and all were accounted for, there were no injuries sustained. Pets were inside the home at the time of the fire. Firefighters were able to get the animals out of the home. The Mercer County Prosecutors Office’s arson unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
