Trenton, NJ – June 12, 2024 – This afternoon, Trenton experienced two separate shooting incidents within a span of 20 minutes, leaving residents shaken and authorities on high alert.

At approximately 2:05 p.m., Trenton Communications received multiple calls reporting shots fired in the vicinity of Brunswick and Cavell Avenues. Responding officers discovered a scene of violence in front of 186 Brunswick Ave, marked by numerous spent shell casings. While no victim was immediately found at the scene, a male later arrived at Capital Health Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim is currently reported to be in stable condition.

Just 20 minutes later, at approximately 2:25 p.m., Trenton’s ShotSpotter system was activated, signaling 14 rounds fired near 2 Frazier St. Officers quickly responded to the area, where they found multiple spent shell casings and a vehicle that had been struck by bullets. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident.

Trenton Police are actively investigating both shootings and are seeking information from the public. Anyone with details related to these incidents is urged to contact the Trenton Police Department’s anonymous tip line.
