TRENTON, N.J. (PBN) At approximately 4:45 p.m. today, Trenton Police officers responded to a Shotspotter notification in the vicinity of Hampton and Walnut Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim in the rear of the 300 block of Walnut Ave, known locally as Freeman Ln, with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed pending notification of family, was found in critical condition. Trenton Emergency Medical Services were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for urgent medical attention.
Detective Lieutenant Lisette Rios, the Public Information Officer for the Trenton Police Department, provided details on the incident. “Our officers responded promptly to the Shotspotter alert and found the victim with severe injuries.
