Trenton, N.J. (PBN)  The runners for the 9.11 Promise run entered Trenton Sunday evening with at least 50 runners and support staff. They made it to Trenton Fire headquarters with welcoming arms. Battalion Chief Dave Smolka said the Trenton Fire Department has housed the runners for the past eight years with permission from the city and Fire director. Trenton Fire Department local FMBA 6 & 206 provides the runners with food, and Signal 22 provides the runners with drinks each year.

The 9.11 Promise is a journey of remembrance and honor while also providing an opportunity to help the children of those who have sacrificed for our communities and country. The journey begins at the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, and individuals will have a choice to run to Ground Zero or to bike to Shanksville, PA.
