EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. (PBN) Ewing Township Police say they were called to the Ewing High School around noon just after a picture began to circulate on social media/ TikTok depicting a male holding a handgun in a bathroom stall. School officials notified the Police. Shortly after the school was placed into lockdown while officers and detectives investigated. Police say it was quickly discovered that no active threat existed. Three juveniles were taken into custody pending further investigation. Two Gel Blasters/Orbeez toy pistols that replicate actual handguns were located during the investigation. District officials said that the threat was determined to be unsubstantiated, and the lockdown was lifted at 2:32 p.m., and school dismissal occurred.
