LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (PBN) Police are on the scene of a pedestrian motor vehicle accident that left one pedestrian dead. Police on Route 1 near the Shake Shack of Princeton. Police are shutting down Route One and diverting vehicles off the highway. This is a developing story at this time.

On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at approximately 6:40 pm, the Lawrence Township Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Brunswick Pike on a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian.
The 39-year-old driver from Ewing, NJ, and the occupants in the vehicle were not injured. The pedestrian succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased on-scene. The identity of the pedestrian is unknown at this time.
As a result, all lanes on Brunswick Pike southbound between the area of the Quakerbridge Road overpass and the incident were closed.
Details of the crash are still under investigation by Lawrence Police and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team.
