TRENTON, N.J. (PBN) At approximately 4:45 p.m., Trenton Police officers responded to a Shotspotter notification in the area of Hampton and Walnut. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim in the rear of the 300 block of Walnut Ave (Freeman Ln) with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Detective Lieutenant Lisette Rios, the Public Information Officer for the Trenton Police Department, reported on the incident. “Our officers responded swiftly to the Shotspotter alert and found the victim with severe injuries. He was promptly transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for urgent medical care.”
As of the latest update at 9:44 pm, the male victim is currently stable but remains in critical condition. Additionally, two residences on E. State St. were also struck during the incident, but no further injuries were reported.
