TRENTON, N.J. (PBN) A man is in grave condition tonight after being shot in the head while sitting in a vehicle. Trenton Police and Trenton Emergency Medical Services rushed to the scene to aid the man. The shooting happened in the 400 block of West State Street between Fisher Place just after 6:00 P.m. Residents stated they heard multiple gunshots and saw EMTs performing CPR. Trenton Emergency Medical Services & Paramedics rushed the man to Capital Health Trauma Center, his condition is unknown.

UPDATE: Trenton Police announced the man involved in Tuesday’s night shooting is a 33-year-old Philadelphia man who sustained a gunshot wound to the upper neck area inside of a parked vehicle. The vehicle was also occupied by an adult female and two small children who were not struck by gunfire. The Philadelphia man was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was listed in critical but stable condition and later transferred to Jefferson Hospital by helicopter for further treatment. This is an ongoing investigation.
