Ewing Cop Honored By NAACP In Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. (PBN) Spring 22 through it all Gala The NAACP paid homage to local heroes, one being DET. Danielle Bethea of the Ewing Police Department. Det Bethea, who has 15 years in Law Enforcement, proudly served with three departments Trenton police and human service police. And currently, Ewing police Department. Det Bethea plans to continue to be a positive influence in her community through the platform her career provides. Det Bethea is dedicated to changing the mentality of her community by giving them a different perspective of police By Building positive relationships with the community. Bethea also thanks to the glam squad Bree smith, and Jazzi e banks.


TRENTON, N.J. (PBN) The national weather service in Philadelphia, PA, issued a flood watch is in effect from 6 PM this evening through late tonight for Mercer County. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Heavy rainfall rates of 1/4 to 1/2 inch for several hours and rainfall totals of 1.5 to 2 inches are possible.

Ewing Fire battle second alarm house fire

Ewing, NJ (Mercer) Ewing township fire crews battled a second-alarm blaze that ripped through a home on the 300 block of Beachwood Ave. The fire brought out surrounding fire departments from Mercer county there were no reported injuries one dog was located inside the home and was not harmed. The fire was placed under control just before 10:00 Am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Ewing Police coat drive supplies 52 students with coats

Ewing Township, NJ (Mercer) The Ewing Police Department’s Community Relations Unit organized their annual coat drive Thursday at Forman Mills. The Community Relations Unit received donates from Forman Mills store manager Monica kitchen, The Ewing PBA Civil associates, Ewing Police Officers Ewing staff members. Also received donations from Scott Harvey Owner of Subaru and Det. T. Veal (Trenton Police) This year they suppled 52 Ewing students with coats.

All personal involved with this Year’s coat drive tested negative for Covid-19 prior to this coat drive.

Firefighters battle second alarm blaze in Ewing Township

Ewing, NJ (Mercer) Ewing Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in the 400 block of Silvia street. The fire broke out just after 1:15 Am Wednesday; firefighters reported heavy fire coming from the second and third floor that extended to the roof. The fire was placed under control just before 3:00 Am. No injuries were reported; the fire is under investigation.

21 year old killed in Ewing Township shooting

EWING, NJ (Mercer) Ewing Police and the Mercer County prosecutor’s office are investigating a shooting in Ewing township on Clover Ave and Douglas Monday evening. Ewing Emergency medical services and Capital Heath paramedics responded to a male shot in the chest. The male was transported to Capital health trauma center in critical condition. Ewing Police have not released any information due to an ongoing investigation

UPDATE: The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Ewing Police Department are investigating a shooting homicide that occurred in the township Monday afternoon.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021, Ewing police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Douglas Avenue for a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later.

The victim has been identified as Mark Hudson, Jr., 21, of Ewing. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. VIDEO: Neighbor arrested on multiple charges in Ewing Township

EWING, NJ: An ongoing fight between two neighbors spawned out of control starting back in March 2021 after a third -floor neighbor got heated after they were asked to take down a bird feeder due to birds and squirrels. Kellie Murphy reported the animals dropped waste.

The husband was alleged to have called Murphy N***r multiple times over the summertime.

Murphy reported to Peterson that she was in her home and saw a woman who was the Neighbor from the floor above on Tuesday. The woman then started to record around her home and started to yell for help after murphy saw the female Neighbor but murphy continued to record the woman until Ewing Police arrived on the scene. While Ewing Police were on scene, Murphy could hear yelling while police talked to the female Neighbor about her actions before PD. Ewing Police attempted to move the Neighbor away from Murphy’s residence but refused.’

At sometime words were exchanged between both parties, and the Neighbor charged at murphy at her window. Murphy did state she did sip as the Neighbor charged her and alleged retaliation.
The Neighbor was arrested on multiple charges and later released.
